Paul D’Alessandro, a Partner at Diamond Management & Technology Consultants, leads the firm’s Customer Impact practice.

With an extensive background in high-tech and consumer product Experience Design (xD). Paul’s specialization in the creation of unique customer experiences that blend the physical place (retail, home, workplace) with virtual environments (online communities, mobility solutions, word of mouth networks). Within the discipline of xD Paul brings a deep understanding of market assessment/segmentation, branding/positioning/messaging, development of technology dependent strategy and product/service design for new market opportunities. Paul has a strong reputation for being a highly effective leader through communication, mentoring and team building.  He is a regular speaker within academic and industry circles, Paul has been published on the topics of word-of-mouth marketing, technology-enabled advertising, and new product innovation. He has also served the industrial products, healthcare, business-to-consumer services, and retail industries.

Paul’s results-driven approach to strategic growth through innovation, interactive marketing, and experience design has been applied from product conception and launch through to market-share leadership within large-scale programs at Fortune 100 organizations, startups, and the emerging markets of Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe. He is an expert in emerging market entry strategy and execution, which often includes negotiating public/private partnerships. Paul specializes in aligning senior executives with board objectives, and leading complex initiatives that are contingent on technology—often requiring significant organizational change. These undertakings frequently involve an extension or refresh of traditional products, services, or the employment of nontraditional marketing techniques through the innovative use of interactive technology.

Paul holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science degree in computer science from the University of California, Los Angeles. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy.
